Types Of Kidney Stones 


There are 4 types and they can be varied according to different people.

  • Calcium Oxalate stones

Calcium oxalate stones are the most common kidney stones. Increased concentration of calcium or oxalate in urine results in this type of kidney stone.

  • Uric acid stones

Usually found in people who lose too much fluid due to malabsorption and chronic diseases.

  • Struvite stones

They are seen as a result of an infection of the urinary tract. 

  • Cystine stones

It is formed because of a hereditary disorder called cystinuria. The kidneys of people with the above-mentioned disorder discharge too much of certain amino acids.
